This Privacy Policy explains how MTD Technology Company Limited ("MTD," "we," "us," or "our"), operating under the brand Tarunow, handles information in connection with the LingTutor mobile application ("LingTutor," the "App"). LingTutor is a language-learning app that helps you build vocabulary and practice a new language through lessons, flashcards, and daily practice.

We have designed LingTutor to be private by default. Your learning data stays on your device.

• LingTutor does not require an account to use.
• Your learning progress, vocabulary, flashcard history, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
• We use Google AdMob to show advertisements, which involves limited data collection by Google and its advertising partners.
• We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand general app usage and to detect crashes, so we can improve the App.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• Future versions may add optional accounts, cloud sync, and in-app purchases. This policy will be updated before those features launch.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information stored only on your device

The following is created as you use LingTutor and remains on your device. We do not have access to it:

• Lessons completed, modules, and learning path progress
• Vocabulary and flashcard review history (including spaced-repetition scheduling)
• Placement/level test results (e.g., A1–C1 CEFR level)
• Daily goals, streaks, and reminder settings
• App preferences (such as target language and interface settings)

3.2 Information collected automatically by third-party SDKs

To run advertising, analytics, and crash reporting, the following may be collected:

• Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), used by Google AdMob and its advertising partners to deliver and measure ads.
• Device and technical information, such as device model, operating system version, language, general (coarse) location inferred from IP address, app version, and similar diagnostic data.
• Usage events, such as which screens or features are opened, session length, and similar aggregated analytics signals.
• Crash and diagnostic data, such as crash logs, stack traces, and device state at the time of a crash.

We do not use this data to identify you personally, and your learning content (the words and lessons you study) is not transmitted to us.

3.3 Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts (no account is required).
• We do not access your photos, microphone, or camera.
• We do not track your precise GPS location.

LingTutor may request the following Android permissions:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to send you optional reminders to practice and maintain your streak.
• Internet / network access: to load advertisements and send anonymous analytics and crash data.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core learning features (on your device).
• Display advertisements that support the free version of the App.
• Understand general, aggregated usage patterns so we can improve lessons and features.
• Detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical problems.
• Comply with legal obligations.

6. Advertising

LingTutor uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob and its partners may use advertising identifiers and device data to show and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

• In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regulated regions, we will request your consent for personalized advertising through a consent prompt before such ads are shown, in accordance with applicable law.
• You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

7. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect aggregated usage and crash data. This helps us understand which features are useful and to fix problems. For more information about Google's data practices, see: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers (Google AdMob, Firebase) that process data on our behalf to provide advertising, analytics, and crash reporting.
• When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
• In connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

9. Data Retention

Learning data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes the locally stored learning data from your device.

Data collected by AdMob and Firebase is retained according to Google's retention policies.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

10.1 European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because LingTutor does not require an account and stores learning data on your device, most of your data is under your direct control. For data processed by advertising and analytics partners, you may withdraw consent at any time through the in-app consent options or your device settings.

Our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for personalized advertising and analytics where required), and our legitimate interests (to provide, secure, and improve the App).

10.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law for cross-context behavioral advertising without providing the choices required by law. California residents may have rights to know, delete, and opt out. You can exercise advertising choices through the in-app consent prompt and your device's advertising settings.

11. Children's Privacy

LingTutor is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at admin@tarunow.com and we will take appropriate steps.

12. International Data Transfers

Our service providers (Google) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Material changes — such as the introduction of accounts, cloud sync, or in-app purchases — will be reflected here before those features become available.
